The founder story of Wildboar Bike Racks does not begin in a boardroom. It starts on the open road, born from a simple need as a travelling Australian family.
Our founder comes from a strong product design background and was used to precision. In a past role, he designed baby furniture, where safety, reliability and build quality are non-negotiable.
While caravanning and travelling with his own kids, he grew frustrated. After searching the market, he “just could not find anything suitable”. He needed a caravan bike rack that was durable enough for the long haul yet practical for everyday family use. The problem stuck with him.
The solution came, as great ideas often do, in the middle of the night. At 3:30 am, he realised the rack needed two vertical support bars to safely do what he wanted it to do.
That “eureka” moment became the starting point for the first Wildboar racks, built for his own family. Friends noticed the quality and wanted their own. Then their friends did too.
From that single moment of inspiration, Wildboar has grown into a trusted name in Australian bike racks, still driven by the original goal of solving real-world problems for fellow travellers.

Our main business location is in Victoria, with our dedicated workshop and showroom based in Torquay, on the south-west coast of Victoria.
