Contact our team for more clarification if required.

What wheel base bikes can the racks accommodate?

1350mm maximum (measure between front and rear axle)

What if I have a step through bike with no cross bar?

It depends. Some step-through bikes do have enough frame to attach to. If not, you may need an aftermarket cross bar. Click here.

Can your rack take fat wheel E Bikes?

Yes 100%. Our bike racks are designed to suit ANY bike type. Kids, road, gravel, mountain bikes and ALSO fat wheel bikes with a wheel width of up to 130mm.

Can I use a bike cover to protect the bikes while travelling?

In Short. No. Bike covers create a big problem for bike racks. Due to the huge amount of wind they capture when travelling at 100klm/h, (not to mention on-coming winds and trucks passing etc) the force applied to the bike rack is too great, and may cause damage to the centre tilt pole, and damage to the mount system.

If you are determined to cover the bikes, wind MUST be able to pass through the cover. A solid canvas style non venting cover will void your warranty.

What size bikes can the bike rack handle?

Our bike rack suits ANY bike size. From 16" kids bikes, right up 29" adult bikes. Also large cruiser style E-Bikes with wheel bases up to 1350mm and fat wheels up to 130mm wide.

Questions about the bike rack......

What are the dimensions of the bike rack?

The bike rack TOPFRAME is 1400mm wide, and 416mm deep. We have fitting guides for all products, to ensure you get the fit just right.

Do I need to get the bike rack professionally installed?

No. Our Freedom Caravan Bike Rack is very much a DIY (do it yourself) assembly. It normally takes around 15-20 minutes for the full assembly (including setting up your bikes). We have a full assembly video for you on this website.

Our bike rack bolts directly onto the A Frame with our unique mounting system. So no modification is required to be done to your van.

Do I need to weld a cross bar or strut onto my A frame?

No, not at all. Our bike racks only require 100 mm (10 cm) of clear space on either side of the drawbar for installation.

We do not recommend welding to the A-frame. In most caravans, the electrical wiring loom runs through this section, and the heat generated during welding can damage the wiring by melting or fusing the cables together. Our system is designed as a simple bolt-on installation, eliminating the need for welding while providing a strong and secure mounting solution.

How do I know if it will fit my van?

To make choosing the right bike rack as easy as possible, we provide a detailed fitting guide for every product in our range. Each guide includes clear drawings, dimensions, and mounting measurements, allowing you to check compatibility with your caravan before you buy and ensuring a perfect fit.

If you're still unsure, our friendly customer support team is here to help. Simply take a few photos of your caravan's drawbar or mounting area and send them to 0482 072 469. We'll review your setup and recommend the best mounting option for your caravan, giving you confidence that you're ordering the right product the first time.

Can I use my caravan bike rack on the car?

Yes. One of the key benefits of the Wildboar Freedom Bike Rack is its modular design. By adding our optional Car Mount Kit, you can transfer your Freedom Caravan Bike Rack from your caravan to your vehicle, giving you one rack for two different applications.

The Car Mount Kit fits any standard 50 mm hitch receiver and features an anti-wobble mounting system that keeps the rack secure while driving. This means you don't need to buy a separate bike rack for your car, saving both money and storage space.

This video will show you how!

Can I mount to the rear bumper?

The drawbar is always our preferred mounting location, as it provides the most stable platform for carrying your bikes. However, if your caravan's setup doesn't allow for a drawbar installation, mounting the bike rack to the rear bumper is an excellent alternative.

For the strongest installation, we recommend adding an additional 50 x 50 mm RHS steel section to the rear bumper. As most caravan rear bumpers are only 50 x 75 mm, this provides a larger vertical surface for welding and creates a stronger, more secure mounting point.

This helpful video walks you through the process and shares practical tips to ensure your rear-mounted bike rack is installed safely and performs reliably for years to come. Watch video>>

What distance apart can the vertical support poles be?

Our vertical support poles are designed to suit a wide range of caravan setups, making the system extremely versatile. The minimum spacing between the poles is approximately 300 mm, while the maximum spacing is 1,250 mm. This generous adjustment range allows the bike rack to fit many different drawbar configurations, toolboxes and gas bottle setups.

If you're unsure whether your caravan falls within these measurements, simply send us a few photos of your drawbar or mounting area. Our team will assess your setup and recommend the best mounting position, ensuring your Wildboar Bike Rack is installed safely, securely and with the best possible fit.

Shipping Questions......

How long does my bike rack take to arrive?

When your item is in stock, we aim to dispatch your order within 24 hours of receiving it. Once it leaves our warehouse, delivery typically takes 3–5 business days to metro Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. Deliveries to regional and remote areas may take up to 10 business days.

As soon as your order is dispatched, you'll receive a tracking email so you can follow your bike rack's journey every step of the way. We know you're excited to get out riding, so we work hard to ensure your order arrives as quickly and safely as possible.

What countries do you ship to?

At this stage, Wildboar Bike Racks proudly operates throughout Australia and New Zealand, supplying our products directly to customers across both countries. Our local operations allow us to provide fast dispatch, responsive customer support, and expert advice to help you choose the right bike rack for your caravan, motorhome or vehicle.

Can you ship to a PO Box?

Unfortunately, no. Our freight carriers can only deliver to physical street addresses and are unable to ship to PO Boxes.

If you live in a regional or remote area, we recommend having your order delivered to a trusted local business, workplace, or another street address where someone is available to accept the delivery on your behalf.
